Summer Vacation

Okay, so it’s been about a month since I added an entry. Not my fault, for more than a few reasons:

  1. For over three weeks I was out of town, driving from my home in New Hampshire to Denver, Colorado (6,400 miles round trip) (over 10,000 km), to deliver Number 1 son to the Air Force Academy, and then to do some serious camping at the Grand Tetons, Yellowstone, Mt.Rushmore, the Black Hills, the Badlands, etc.
  2. As I drove all those miles, I found well over a dozen hotspots. Unfortunately, I had recently upgraded my laptop to XP SP2, and it apparently changed a setting or two in my browser. While I could actively meander the various networks I found, I couldn’t actually surf! (Talk about painful, I was off-line for almost a month!)
  3. During all this down-time, I was playing with with Visual Studio 2005 Beta 2 (which required the upgrade to XP SP2 …), finding out all the really neat stuff that’s new and exciting.
  4. I actually had to do play with VS05b2, so I could write an article about it! If you want to read my thoughts, go to https://www.mainfunction.com/DotNetInAction/Technologies/display.aspx?ID=2845

So, how’s your summer going?
